Privacy Policy for JSON Rescue

Fresh Applications LLC ("us", "we", or "our") operates the JSON Rescue mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Service" or "App").

This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data. It is designed to comply with applicable laws, including but not limited to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), as well as Google Play’s Families policy.

Important Note: JSON Rescue does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us or any third parties. All data processing occurs locally on your device. The App is designed to help you process JSON files saved on your phone to extract Snapchat usernames into a readable file for easy copying and pasting. No data leaves your device, and we have no access to it. The App is suitable for all ages, including children, as it contains no inappropriate content, does not display ads, and complies with child protection laws.

By using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Words with an initial capital letter have meanings defined under the following conditions. These definitions apply whether the terms appear in singular or plural form.

Account means a unique account created for You to access our Service or parts of our Service. Note that JSON Rescue does not require user accounts.
App or Service refers to the JSON Rescue mobile application.

We do not collect any Personal Data from users of the App. JSON Rescue does not require registration, login, or any form of data input that would involve sending information to our servers.

Usage Data
We do not collect Usage Data. The App operates entirely offline and locally on your Device after installation.

Local Processing of User-Provided Data
JSON Rescue allows you to select and process JSON files saved on your Device (e.g., exported from Snapchat). The App extracts usernames from these files and formats them into a readable file for your convenience in copying and pasting. This process:

Occurs entirely on your Device.
Does not involve any transmission of data to us, our servers, or any third parties.
Does not store the processed data beyond what you choose to save locally on your Device.
Future updates may add support for processing JSON files from platforms like Telegram and Instagram, but the same local-only processing will apply.

Tracking Technologies and Cookies
The App does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any similar technologies, as it does not connect to the internet for data collection purposes.

Use of Your Personal Data

Since we do not collect any Personal Data, we do not use it for any purposes. Any data you process through the App remains under your control and is not accessed by us.

Retention of Your Personal Data

We do not retain any Personal Data, as none is collected.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your information is not transferred anywhere, as all processing is local to your Device. If you are located outside the United States and choose to use the App, no data is transferred to us in the United States or elsewhere.

Disclosure of Your Personal Data

We do not disclose any Personal Data, as none is collected. In the unlikely event of a business transaction (e.g., merger or acquisition), no user data would be involved or transferred.

Law Enforcement
We may be required to disclose Personal Data if mandated by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency). Since no data is collected, this would not apply.

Other Legal Requirements
We may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

Comply with a legal obligation.
Protect and defend the rights or property of the Company.
Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service.

Compliance with Google Play Families Policy

JSON Rescue is designed to be suitable for all ages, including children under 13, in compliance with Google Play’s Families policy. To meet these requirements:

Content Suitability: The App contains no content that is inappropriate for children. It is a utility tool that processes user-provided JSON files to extract usernames, with no access to external content or user-generated material that could be unsuitable.
Advertisements: JSON Rescue does not display any advertisements, ensuring no risk of exposing children to inappropriate ads or uncertified ad networks.
Compliance with Child Protection Laws: The App complies with applicable laws, including COPPA and GDPR, by not collecting, storing, or processing any Personal Data from users, including children. Since all data processing is local and user-controlled, no parental consent is required.
Neutral Age Screen: Given that the App is inherently compliant (no data collection, no ads, no inappropriate content), a neutral age screen is not implemented, as the entire App is suitable for all users, including children.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service is suitable for users under the age of 13 ("Children") and complies with COPPA and GDPR requirements. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone, including children under 13. Since the App processes data locally on the user’s Device and does not transmit or store it, no Personal Data is collected that would require parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your Child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. In such cases, we would take steps to remove any data, though none is collected by the App.

Security of Your Personal Data

The security of your Personal Data is important, but since all data remains on your Device, its security depends on your Device’s protections (e.g., passwords, encryption). We recommend keeping your Device secure. We do not store or access any data, so we cannot guarantee its absolute security beyond advising best practices for your local files.

JSON Rescue does not currently include links to other websites. If future updates add links to third-party sites, we strongly advise you to review their privacy policies. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites or services.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this periodically for updates. Changes are effective when posted.
